George specialises in residential and rural conveyancing, with a particular focus on country houses and rural lifestyle properties. Formerly a partner in the London offices of a large regional firm, George is now heavily involved with the management of his family farm and associated properties, giving a personal and practical insight into many of the transactional issues encountered by his clients. He is the only practising solicitor in the country with formal qualifications in arboriculture and has a deep interest in woodlands, ecology and the countryside.

George enjoys building lasting and proactive relationships with his clients, many of whom he has worked alongside for many years, and in some cases over several generations. George firmly believes that a flexible, solution based approach to law, underpinned by excellent technical knowledge, is key to successful and timely property transactions.
George enjoys fly fishing, hill walking, and being wrapped around the finger of his young daughter. An experienced target rifle shooter, George has represented the Great Britain team on a number of occasions in Canada, New Zealand and South Africa, and is a past Individual European Champion. It has been suggested that George’s preferred choices of motor vehicles are those which are are both noisy and impractical…
