Golf, community and fundraising in memory of Brian

On Friday 21 August 2026, Woodstock Legal Services brought together consultants, colleagues, Lawhive, partners, clients and friends for our annual Brian O’Donnell Charity Golf Day at Dorset Golf Resort.

It was a brilliant day of golf, networking, friendly competition and fundraising, all in support of Melanoma Focus.

Remembering Brian

The golf day is held in memory of Brian O’Donnell, who was a huge supporter of Woodstock in our early years and played an important part in the firm’s story.

Brian sadly passed away from skin cancer in 2020, and the annual golf day gives us an opportunity to come together in his memory while raising money for a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

A day powered by the Woodstock community

This year’s event brought together a real mix of people from across the wider Woodstock community, with teams made up of Woodstock consultants, internal teams, partners, clients and contacts.

The day included a full round of golf, breakfast, lunch, a charity raffle and silent auction, with some fantastic prizes donated by businesses and supporters from across the local community.

We were also delighted to welcome some familiar faces from the world of football, including  Harry Redknapp, Tony Pulis and Matt Le Tissier, who joined us on the course.

£5,000 raised for Melanoma Focus

Thanks to everyone who played, donated, bought raffle tickets, bid in the auction and supported the event, we raised an incredible £5,000 donated to Melanoma Focus.

The fundraising was made possible not only by those who attended, but also by the fantastic local businesses who generously donated prizes for our raffle and auction.

From restaurant vouchers and afternoon tea to golf experiences, treatments and other brilliant prizes, the support from our local community was incredible. A special thank you to the local businesses involved: Baffi Pizza, The NICI, Nova Dance Company, Chicken & Blues, Flamingo Cafes,  Jimmys Iced Coffee, Select World Travel, The Priory Room, Lymsage Studio and Compton Acres.
