Why Lawyers Choose Consultancy with Woodstock Legal Services

As a consultant with Woodstock Legal Services, you run your own practice, set your own hours and build your own client base, with an award-winning national firm behind you.

Since 2014, we’ve grown from a small firm with a big idea into a national practice across England and Wales. Our consultants include lawyers from global top-10 firms, former practice owners and people who knew there had to be a better way to practise.

You’re Self-Employed, Not On Your Own

Consultancy shouldn’t mean working in isolation. At Woodstock Legal Services, our consultants and in-house team come together throughout the year, both to celebrate and to share ideas.

Highlights of the calendar include our Consultant Team Days, our annual Woodstock Legal Services Awards Night, and our summer and Christmas parties. They’re a chance to put faces to names, swap knowledge and recognise the work that goes on across the firm.

Consultants are also invited to represent Woodstock at industry events, including The Business Show and the National Landlord Investment Show. These are valuable opportunities to raise your profile, meet potential clients and grow your network, with the backing of the Woodstock Legal Services brand.

And it’s not all business. From our charity golf day to community fundraisers, there’s always something to get involved in.

Consultancy FAQs

  • Can I bring my team with me?

Yes. If you work with paralegals, assistants or other lawyers you’d like to keep working alongside, you can bring your whole team to Woodstock Legal Services. We’ll take care of onboarding everyone, including setting them up on our case management system and completing the necessary compliance checks, so the move is as smooth as possible for you and your clients.

  • Can I bring my existing clients?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Most of our consultants bring their own client base with them, which means they can hit the ground running from day one. On top of your own clients, you’ll also benefit from additional enquiries generated through our website, marketing activity and events. These help you grow your practice beyond the clients you already have.

  • Do I have to work from Dorset?

No. Our consultants work across England and Wales, and most work from home. If you’d like a change of scenery, our hub office in Poole is available for hot-desking, and you can use our meeting and function room to meet clients. You can also connect with the wider team at our events throughout the year.

  • What experience do I need?

We welcome solicitors, chartered legal executives and licensed conveyancers, as well as lawyers whose path into law looked a little different. Above all, we’re looking for experienced, client-focused lawyers who share our values and are ready to run their own practice. If you’re unsure whether you’d be a good fit, get in touch for a confidential chat.
