2026 has been a year of significant change for landlords and the private rented sector and Woodstock Legal Services has continued to support landlords through this period of uncertainty as headline sponsors of the National Landlord Investment Show.
As part of our long standing partnership with NLIS, our team attended five shows throughout the year across Southampton, London and Bristol providing landlords with access to free legal advice, training and discussion around some of the biggest issues currently affecting the private rented sector.
Supporting Landlords Through Unprecedented Change
At each show Woodstock Legal Services delivered two one hour legal clinics, giving landlords the opportunity to speak directly with our legal team, ask questions and receive free guidance on issues affecting their businesses and properties.
Across the year, this meant we delivered 8 one hour legal clinics, providing free legal advice and answering landlords' questions. 4 dedicated Renters' Rights Act training sessions helping landlords understand the upcoming changes to legislation, with training slides provided free of charge. 4 panel debates discussing current news, politics and legislation and how these developments could affect landlords and the wider private rented sector.
The Renters' Rights Act has been one of the key areas of concern for landlords throughout 2026. Our dedicated training sessions have given landlords the opportunity to better understand what the changes could mean for them and how they can prepare.
Our panel debates have also allowed us to look beyond legislation and discuss the wider challenges facing landlords, from changes in government and new Prime Ministerial leadership to the ongoing changes within the private rented sector.
Helping Landlords Move Forward With Confidence
There has been considerable uncertainty within the private rented sector with some landlords questioning whether they should continue investing in property.
Through our work with NLIS, we have seen first hand how access to the right legal support and knowledge can help landlords feel more confident about navigating these changes.
Our aim has always been to help landlords understand their legal responsibilities, keep up with changing legislation and make informed decisions about their property investments.
We are proud to continue supporting landlords during what has been an unprecedented period of change for the industry.
A Long Standing Partnership With NLIS
Our relationship with the National Landlord Investment Show extends beyond the events themselves. Woodstock Legal Services has been a long standing partner of NLIS and has also been involved with the NLIS Awards each year.
For the last four years, Woodstock Legal Services has been shortlisted for Best Landlord Legal Provider winning the award each year.
This recognition is a testament to the work our landlord and tenant team does to support and look after landlords across the sector.
We are delighted to have once again been shortlisted for Best Landlord Legal Provider in 2026.
This year we are also incredibly proud that two members of our Landlord & Tenant team have been shortlisted for Woman in Property. Sharfaa who is our Landlord & Tenant Team Leader and Zoe who is our Landlord & Tenant Consultant Solicitor.
The winners will be announced at the end of November and we wish everyone shortlisted the very best of luck.
Our managing director Carly Jermyn added this:
“We’re incredibly proud of the work our team continues to do to support landlords, estate agents and property professionals through a period of significant change. This national recognition reflects the dedication and expertise of our Landlord & Tenant team and our ongoing commitment to helping the industry navigate the evolving private rented sector with confidence.”
Looking Ahead to 2027
As we look towards 2027, our commitment to supporting landlords and the private rented sector remains stronger than ever.
We will continue working alongside the National Landlord Investment Show to provide landlords with access to legal advice, education and practical support as the industry continues to evolve.
The private rented sector is facing significant change, but with the right knowledge and support behind them, landlords can continue to navigate these challenges with greater confidence.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with NLIS and supporting landlords throughout 2027.
