Where consultant lawyers thrive
Discover the support, recognition, and community you've been looking for.

Welcome to Woodstock
Woodstock is a consultant law firm built around one idea: the best consultant lawyers deserve a firm that works for them, not the other way around.
That means handling the operational side of your practice so you can focus on legal work. It means investing in your profile and helping you grow your client base. And it means a genuine community of people who refer work, share knowledge, and have a stake in each other's success.
Why join Woodstock?
The support to keep you focused on what matters
Behind every Woodstock consultant is a team that keeps your practice running smoothly. File opening, compliance, accounts, and client onboarding are all handled centrally, efficiently, and accurately, with files opened within 24 hours.
We also invest continuously in technology, giving you access to the tools and systems you need to stay competitive as the legal industry evolves.
A firm that invests in your profile as well as your practice
Most consultant law firms market the firm, not the people within it. At Woodstock, our marketing team works with you to grow your profile; content published under your name, a dedicated profile page, social amplification, events, and introductions to grow your client base.
Where independence meets belonging
At Woodstock, consultants actively refer work to one another, collaborate across specialisms, and invest in each other's success. From peer catch-ups and WhatsApp groups to events and a bi-annual team day, the community here is built around people who genuinely want to see each other thrive.
A fee split that grows with you - with no annual resets
Some fee structures look generous until you read the small print. At Woodstock, our tiered fee split starts at 70% and rises to 85% as your billing grows. Once you reach a tier, you stay there. No annual resets, no surprises.
"Being in control of targets, time, and workload whilst doing the job I love seems too good to be true–but it’s not."

FAQs
What practice areas are you accepting new lawyers within?
We’re a full-service consultant law firm and welcome lawyers across every discipline, provided you bring a strong reputation, a client following and a commitment to high-quality service.
Why is Woodstock different from other consultant law firms?
If we had to boil it down to one thing, it’s our culture.
There are many consultancy firms in the market, but some operate at a scale where day-to-day interaction naturally becomes lighter. For some lawyers that works perfectly well, but others tell us they value knowing exactly who to go to for support, collaboration or simply a sounding board.
At Woodstock, relationships matter. You’ll know the people in our accounts, admin and marketing teams and they’ll know you, so communication stays straightforward and personal.
We also make a point of bringing people together regularly through training sessions, collaboration days and informal get-togethers. You still run your own practice, but you’re part of something familiar rather than working in the background on your own.
What could I earn as a consultant solicitor at Woodstock?
Your earning potential is uncapped. We operate a transparent fee-share structure that rewards the work you bring in and the way you choose to build your practice. The more you bill, the more you keep - simple as that. To speak to one of our team about our fee share scale, download our brochure or send us an email at hello@woodstocklegalservice.co.uk.
Do I need to meet any minimum requirements to join Woodstock?
We work with:
- Solicitors
- CLC Lawyers
- CILEX Lawyers
- Barristers
- Unqualified conveyancers
Lawyers with under 5 years’ PQE and unqualified conveyancers will complete an initial supervision period and supervision fee will apply during that time.
Can I set my own fees?
Yes. You bring your own clients, set your own fees and deliver your service in the way you know works best. We don’t cap your fees and we don’t dictate how you price your work – you remain fully in control of your practice.
As we operate nationally, we recognise that fees vary depending on location as well as the complexity and nature of the matter. You’re best placed to price your work appropriately for your market and your clients.
There are, of course, certain fixed costs that sit outside of this, for example disbursements set by third parties or government bodies, but your professional fees remain yours to decide.
Can I set my own hours?
Absolutely. We believe your career should fit around your life, not the other way around.
How quickly can I start opening cases?
We’d love to welcome you as soon as possible. Once onboarding is complete, you can begin opening files in as little as 7 days.
